Botany and Wildflower Walk with 'Illinois Botanizer', Chris Benda, Monday, May 6, 1-5 pm

Know your subjects! As a botanical artist, botany knowlege is critical to show scientific information about the plants depicted as an artwork or illustration plate. .  In this class, he will share his indepth knowlege on Illinois wildflowers, plant structure, ecology and natural history. After his presenstation (1-4 pm), he will lead wildflower walk in the woods at Ryerson Woods (4-5 pm) with Heeyoung Kim. Dress accordingly for outdoor walk. Class Fee: $45 Time: 1-5 pm, May 6. Chris Benda, aka. Illinois Botanizer, is a botanist and past president of the Illinois Native Plant Society (2015-2016). He teaches the Flora of Southern Illinois at Southern Illinois University in the summer and a variety of classes at The Morton Arboretum.
